Rescue & Rehoming
The New-Pen-Del Newfoundland Dog Club would like to thank Sue Lynn Morton for so graciously putting this slide show together for our club. Please note that three of the dogs on this slide show were not New-Pen-Del Rescue Newfs. The rest of these Newfoundland dogs were in New-Pen-Del Rescue and have been rehomed.
Thank you for your interest in New-Pen-Del Newfoundland Club's Rescue Program. New-Pen-Del is a regional club affiliated with the Newfoundland Club of America. Adoptions are made on a matched basis: The background and needs of the Newfoundland must match those of the prospective owners. The actual fee depends upon the expenses incurred. Senior dogs are placed at a reduced fee; youngsters are usually higher. All Newfs placed through rescue are evaluated for temperament, vet-checked, neutered or spayed, and are micro-chipped for permanent identification. Our adoption fees do not cover all of the costs involved in operating our rescue service. We gladly accept any donations. If you wish to donate to our dogs, please fill out the form above and return it with your check. New-Pen-Del Newfoundland Rescue currently has dogs available for adoption of various ages and circumstances. Applicants MUST fill out and return an application for adoption; provide a veterinary reference; and be open to a home inspection. The goal of Rescue is to protect and advance the interest of Newfoundland dogs. Every attempt is made to match the environment of a potential owner's home with the observed traits of a specific dog. Therefore, it could take several weeks or many months to adopt a Newf appropriate to your lifestyle. If you have never owned a Newf, we strongly urge you to investigate the breed in depth. More info on the breed can be found on the Newfoundland Club of America's website at http://www.ncarescue.org. If you would like an application for adoption, please e-mail Diane Lynch, Rescue Chair at dlynch92@comcast.net. If you do not have an e-mail address, please call (908) 273-0181. If you would like info on becoming a rescue volunteer, please contact Diane Lynch.
